Precautions for Foreign students short-term study application

Foreign students please deliver “Foreign Student Short-term Research Application” form and related documents 60 days before beginning study.

After receiving NHRI Foreign Student Research and Study Consent, carry on Taiwan Visitor VISA for Internship application at our overseas missions (website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw).

Environment Introduction

  • Restaurant
    Employee cafeteria is located at 2nd floor of Library / Computer and Conference Center Building, where provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Monday through Friday. Meal ticket is NT$70 each. PRO Coffee restaurant is located at 1st floor of Research Building, and offers pasta, risotto, drinks and snacks, open Monday to Friday 8:00 to 17:00.
  • Dormitory
    We reserve few student dormitories for short-term students, and due to the limited number of rooms, foreign and rotation students have priority. Triple room (NT$1,700/M), double room (NT$2,500/M, electricity not include), single room (NT$5,000/M, electricity not include). There are private bathroom, mattress, desk, closet, cable network, and central air conditioning in every room, and bedding set for rent (including pillow, blanket, and sheet, NT$300/set). There are gym, dining room, kitchen, washing machine, and dryer at 1st floor and basement for public use.
  • Surrounding Downtown Area
    There are many restaurants near Dindapoo (頂大埔) stop, and all kinds of daily necessities are available for purchase around Zhunan (竹南) station and Toufen (頭份) station to Xiagongyuan (下公園) stop.
