Principal Investigator Positions

Institute of Molecular & Genomic Medicine (IMGM)

National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan

    The Institute of Molecular & Genomic Medicine (IMGM) at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI) invites applications for multiple Principal Investigator positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Investigator level.

    Located in Zhunan, Taiwan, NHRI is Taiwan’s premier government-supported biomedical research institution. IMGM is dedicated to advancing fundamental and translational research in molecular and genomic medicine to improve human health through scientific innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Research Areas

Successful candidates are expected to establish and lead internationally competitive and innovative research programs aligned with the mission of IMGM. We particularly encourage applications from scientists whose research focuses on one or more of the following areas:

1. Functional genomics and biology focused on the prediction, prevention, or treatment of chronic diseases (e.g., cancer, diabetes, obesity, kidney disease, metabolic syndrome, ageing) and rare diseases.
2. Application of Artificial Intelligence and biomedical big data to precision medicine.
3. Development and application of cell and gene therapy technologies.

Investigators will also have opportunities to engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research programs across NHRI and with national and international partners.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Outstanding research accomplishments and strong publication records.
• Relevant postdoctoral or independent research experience.
• Demonstrated potential to establish an externally funded and internationally recognized research program.
